so the Yankees get Curtis Granderson.. the Tigers get Max Scherzer, Austin Jackson, Daniel Schlereth and Phil Coke
and the D'Backs get Edwin Jackson and Ian Kennedy
solid trade all around IMO, ive loved Ed Jackson ever since he outpitched Randy Johnson back when Ed was about 19 years old, his fastball is about 99MPH consistently and he finally found his command over the last few years so he should do well back in the NL
Kennedy.. eh we will see
I wouldn't call it a blockbuster.
►If you judge Dudley on his appearance and athleticism there's probably 10 guys you would put out there ahead of him, but the guy just knows how to play basketball.▬Robert D. Bradley (bobster)

2 all star players, E.Jackson and Granderson, and 2 no 1 picks, Kennedy and Schlereth and a top prospect in A.Jackson... and its the Yankees so its a blockbuster anyway
Maybe from a NY perspective, but I just don't see any trade involving Max and Schlereth as blockbuster.

the trade as a whole is.. for the D'Backs i like this trade ALOT
never loved Scherzer.. he has a cannon but so does Kyle Farnsworth and he only pitched only into the 4th inning WAY to often.. in Jackson they get a young (26) pitcher with an even harder cannon (99MPH) then Max and he has learned how to pitch, i like him probably more then most though.
Ian Kennedy.. eh.. im not that impressed, yet.. and loosing Schleret.. big whoop, lefties are nice yes but they have Zavada so eh oh well
I see it as a short-term benefit, but a big question mark for any long-term impact.
